Ethanol futures continue to draw buyer support Wednesday despite growing inventory levels at the end of last week. May futures posted a 1.5-cent-per-gallon gain, closing at $2.262 a gallon, although more and more focus is being placed on the moves in June futures, which closed at $2.173 a gallon after a 2-cent-per-gallon rally. Traders are looking for additional longer-term direction in both ethanol and gasoline demand through the rest of the spring as well as potential shifts in ethanol production over the next two months.
