Ethanol futures posted light to moderate gains Tuesday following the bounce higher in corn prices. March corn futures closed 6 cents per bushel higher, which helped to support additional momentum in front-month April ethanol contracts. These markets posted a 2.3-cent-per-gallon rally, closing at $2.29 a gallon. All other contracts posted a 0.7-cent-per-gallon gain, with the focus on potential longer-term market support in production costs, but unable to gain much buyer support to step into deferred contract months.
