Ethanol futures continue to hold strong gains following additional firm support in the corn market and traders pointing to aggressive gains in the energy complex. March ethanol futures rallied another 3.7 cents per gallon, closing at $2.094 a gallon. Gains in other nearby contracts drew strong interest back into the market with gains seen from 2.3 to 3.2 cents per gallon. Deferred contracts are unable to narrow the gap of the premium posted by front-month contracts as traders look for additional need to secure short-term supplies over the next few weeks.
