Ethanol futures posted strong gains in nearby futures. March ethanol futures posted a 3.9 cent per gallon gain, closing at $2.013 a gallon. The lack of support through the corn markets through the last half of the trading session did not limit buyer support from focusing on short-term and long-term market support. Other nearby contracts posted gains of 1.4 to 3.2 cents per gallon as traders focus on potential further support through the rest of the energy market.
