December ethanol futures posted a 1 1/2 week high, closing up 2.7 cents at $1.76 once again moving higher than corn. The market is expecting the Thursday EIA report to show tight ethanol stocks once again after stocks dropped to a record low in late October and implied gasoline demand was higher for the month.
