Ethanol futures inched higher following mixed corn market movement. Front-month September corn futures posted light pressure. But new-crop corn prices bounced higher, which drew buyers back into the ethanol market. October ethanol prices posted a 1.3-cent-per-gallon rally, which moved prices to $1.895 a gallon. Other nearby contracts have posted a 0.6- to 1.6-cent-per-gallon gain although trade remains light.
