Ethanol futures closed steady to moderately lower Tuesday. Now that July corn futures are in delivery, the focus is moved away from July corn contracts and into the September and December contract month. This has allowed ethanol traders to focus on the previous losses in the corn markets over the last couple of trading session. July ethanol futures remained unchanged at $2.41 per gallon, while other nearby contracts slipped from 0.8 to 2 cents per gallon lower despite the lackluster trade activity Tuesday.
