While nearby ethanol futures were slightly higher, cash ethanol prices were mixed for the day as traders look for higher ethanol inventories in Wednesday's weekly EIA report. August and September futures closed marginally higher to unchanged at $2.368 a gallon and $2.244 a gallon respectively.

RBOB gasoline futures moved slightly higher early in the trade after Monday's lower close on lack of demand, but could not hold gains and closed fractionally lower.
