Ethanol futures closed lower, but cash ethanol prices were mixed for the day as traders continue to focus on potential demand support through the next several months as production may remain below last year's levels. July futures closed 2.9 cents per gallon lower at $2.435 a gallon with August closing down 2.6 cents per gallon at $2.36 a gallon.
