Ethanol futures found light buyer support Monday after strong gains developed in front-month corn futures. Traders focused on the lack of support in the RBOB gasoline market at the end of the session to reduce the overall momentum in ethanol contracts. Nearby contracts posted fractional gains with July futures holding a 0.3-cent-per-gallon boost. This moved prices to $2.503 a gallon. The lack of direction early in the week seems to be waiting for additional direction on overall ethanol demand and inventory levels which will be seen in the middle of the week.
