DTN Daily Ethanol Comments

Ethanol futures bounced higher following a strong close in the July corn futures market. Strong gains in the energy complex at the end of the week also helped to spur on ethanol buying Friday. July ethanol futures rallied 2.1 cents per gallon, closing at $2.482 a gallon. The most significant support developed in the August and September contracts though focusing on potentially higher production costs for ethanol through the rest of the summer. This pushed these nearby contracts 2.6 to 2.7 cents per gallon higher.
