Ethanol futures posted narrow losses following the corn market lower. Although significant pressure developed in corn prices following the USDA report release, the sharp losses on Tuesday seem to have calmed the market down a bit midweek, which all nearby contracts remaining limited to fractional losses. July futures posted a 0.5-cent-per-gallon loss, moving to $2.434 a gallon. This brings the ethanol to RBOB gasoline spread to slightly less than 40 cents per gallon.
