Ethanol futures bounced higher on Friday following the support in the corn futures market at the end of the week. Front-month July futures rallied 2.2 cents per gallon, as traders seemed to look past the 3-cent-per-bushel gain in the July corn futures market and focused on the double-digit gains seen in the new crop corn futures markets. This pushed front-month ethanol futures to $2.51 per gallon. Moderate support of 1 cent per gallon was seen in other nearby contracts as traders focus on the potential for increased production costs over the near future.
