Ethanol futures closed mixed in a wide trading range following the most recent pullback from strong gains at the end of May. July ethanol futures have now moved into the front-month position with prices falling another 3.2 cents per gallon. This moved the front-month ethanol price below $2.50 per gallon, to close at $2.493 a gallon. There could be additional adjustments through the next couple weeks following the daily charts, which are slipping sharply lower during the last week.
