Ethanol futures posted additional losses Tuesday following the general tone of the corn market lower. Even though front-month July corn futures rallied higher at the end of the session, posting a 4-cent gain, the rest of the complex slipped 5 to 7 cents per bushel lower. The ethanol futures market posted the most significant losses in front-month futures, closing at $2.695 a gallon after losing 1.5 cents per gallon. The pressure in other nearby contracts was down nearly 1 cent per gallon, but gained very little trade volume.
