Ethanol futures posted another round of solid gains following moderate support in the energy complex as well as evidence of further reduction in inventory inventories. June ethanol contracts drew light to moderate buyer support and pushed prices 1.7 cents per gallon higher. This moved front-month futures to $2.58 per gallon. This move higher has set a new contract high, and given the growth in ethanol demand and tightening, future price support is likely.
