Ethanol futures moved higher Friday, although the overall volume in the market remained light, and price movement was sporadic during the shortened trading session. Corn prices gained moderate support through the last half of the morning trading session which helped to draw additional buyer interest into the ethanol markets. Corn prices gained 4 cents per bushel in the lightly traded grain market. Ethanol prices moved from 0.2 to 2.2 cents per gallon higher. December futures were only 0.2 cents per gallon higher, closing at $2.383 a gallon, while January futures led the market higher with a 2.2 cent gain. Significantly ...
