DTN Weekly Distillers Grains Update

Supplies of DDG continue to be tight this week as the ethanol market suffers from weather-related transportation delays, thus affecting overall DDG production. Snow, ice and freezing weather have continued to delay logistics, particularly railcars, and the shortness in railcar availability has caused some ethanol plants to slow down production. That lower production resulted in decreased DDG production, which caused tightness in supplies and increased prices.
