Idaho's Colyer Ranch made history last week, with a bull named in honor of a Kansas State University professor and livestock judge, Miles McKee. The Hereford bull, "C. Miles McKee 2103 ET", brought an amazing $600,000 at the annual Colyer's bull sale.

C. Miles McKee will find his way into the Guinness World Record, replacing Le Grand Domino 7184, a bull that sold for $301,000 for a half interest in 1980. The buyer of C. Miles McKee was a syndicate out of Dunlap, Iowa -- the Miles McKee Syndicate. The syndicate bought three-quarters interest in the bull.
