CAMPO MOURAO, Brazil (DTN) -- Gabriel Jort's soybeans look beautiful with a deep green hue and an abundance of pods quietly filling.

Heavy showers over the last 10 days across the farmer's part of Brazil's massive grain belt have left him optimistic about the prospects for his crop.

"All we need is a bit more rain over the next 15 days and a big harvest is guaranteed," he told DTN from his 500-acre farm in Campo Mourao, northwestern Parana state.
