The United States soccer program made it into the 2014 World Cup, one of only 32 countries in the world that did, and will face off against Germany, Portugal, and Ghana -- a tough group -- during the first round in Brazil in June. This is all very exciting to the miniscule proportion of people in the U.S. who care about soccer, but the rest of the population just greets all this World Cup fervor with reactions that range from mild curiosity to outright apathy.
