USGC: 2013 Corn Quality High

OMAHA (DTN) -- The most recent U.S. corn crop was of high quality and weather-related effects were relatively minor, according to the latest Corn Harvest Quality report from the U.S. Grains Council, released at the end of last week. The report included a few hints, though, that the 2013 crop needs careful watching through the winter.

USGC said the 2013 crop reported lower levels of aflatoxin, higher levels of starch, and test weights remained well above limits for No. 1-grade corn.
