DTN Retail Fertilizer Trends

OMAHA (DTN) -- Retail fertilizer prices remain in their summer doldrums for the first week of July 2013. Retail prices tracked by DTN have been steady now for exactly eight months.

All eight of the major fertilizers were lower compared to last month, but these moves to the low side were fairly slight. DAP had average price of $598/ton, MAP $644/ton, potash $577/ton, urea $545/ton, 10-34-0 $601/ton, anhydrous $806/ton, UAN28 $390/ton and UAN32 $442/ton.

On a price per pound of nitrogen basis, the average urea price was at $0.59/lb.N, anhydrous $0.49/lb.N, UAN28 $0.70/lb.N and UAN32 $0.69/lb.N.
