World ammonia market prices weakened through July. Yuzhnyy ammonia traded at $440 to $450 per metric ton (mton) fob early and at month's end a sale of Russian ammonia into Tampa had an estimated netback of $400. (All prices in this column are wholesale.) Import ammonia prices into Tampa fell from $525 to $530 mton in early July to $475 late. Industrial demand in the Far East remains slow and some uncertainty at mid-month about the strength of Indian import demand for DAP production kept ammonia prices under pressure.
