DTN Retail Fertilizer Trends

OMAHA (DTN) -- Retail fertilizer prices tracked by DTN remained extremely stable the fifth week of January 2013, marking the 13th straight week prices have been relatively unchanged.

Five of the eight major fertilizers were higher compared to last month, but these moves to the high side were fairly minor. MAP had average price of $670 per ton, 10-34-0 $610/ton, anhydrous $863/ton, UAN28 $377/ton and UAN32 $429/ton.

Two fertilizers were lower compared to the last week of December, but again the move lower was extremely small. DAP had an average price of $628/ton while urea was at $569/ton.
