Alberta Crop Progress Report

OMAHA (DTN) -- The following are highlights from the weekly crop progress report for conditions until June 18 from Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development:

Crop growing conditions continue to be very favourable across the province. In general, the condition of most crops is rated as good to excellent. Provincially, about 88% of spring wheat, oats, barley and canola, and 90% of dry beans and peas are in good to excellent condition.

Precipitation varied across the province, from spotty showers in eastern areas of the province, to heavy rain in central and south-west areas. Scattered hailstorms were reported in most regions, ...
