Farm Bill Talks Moving Ahead

WASHINGTON (DTN) -- Conference talks on the farm bill appear to concede to the need to stick with a target-price program comparable to the House version of legislation.

House Agriculture Committee Chairman Frank Lucas, R-Okla., who also chairs the conference, said in an interview with an Oklahoma radio station that the farm-bill negotiators are making progress on commodity programs, but still arguing over dairy issues.
