GOVERNORS, SENATORS LOBBY ADMINISTRATION TO MAINTAIN ETHANOL MANDATE

Governors representing six major corn ethanol-producing states have written to President Obama to urge him to use his regulatory authority to prevent proposed reductions in the Renewable Fuel Standard for 2014. In their letter, governors from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota say a rule proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency threatens the U.S. biofuels industry.
