Well, the congressional Ag leaders must be surprised that the once sedate farm-bill debate that was expected to surmount a few bumps last year has escalated now into a nationwide brawl involving mainly "name" players — The Wall Street Journal, Paul Krugman of the New York Times, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the big names in the House leadership, especially Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va..
