NRDC CALLS FOR REFORM OF FEDERAL CROP INSURANCE

Extreme weather during the 2012 growing season has resulted in record-breaking federal crop insurance payments of $17.4 billion, according to USDA data and a new report by the Natural Resources Defense Council.
