CFTC Commissioner Promotes Cost-Effectiveness of Agency's Enforcement Activities

Mark Wetjen, acting chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, told members of the House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee last week that the money in the agency's current budget is inadequate to fulfill its mission. He also cited the return on investment that Congress receives from CFTC as a reason to boost appropriations for fiscal 2015.
