Legislative Transition in Europe Could Affect TTIP Talks

The prospect of next year's European Parliament elections is putting additional time pressure on negotiators working on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. The worry is that unless Europe's talks with the United States move along sufficiently in the near term, the election of new members of Parliament might result in a need to backtrack and renegotiate some sections of the proposed bilateral free trade agreement.
