Reid's Plan to Speed Confirmation of Presidential Nominees May Not be a Total Success

Before Thanksgiving, Senate Democrats, led by Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., took steps to tighten the chamber's filibuster rule with the hope of speeding consideration of presidential nominees for positions within the administration and the federal judiciary.
