India Insists on Retaining Right to Hold Food Security Stocks

Speaking earlier this week at the World Trade Organization ministerial conference in Bali, Indonesia, Indian Trade Minister Anand Sharma said flatly that the country's food security plans are "non-negotiable" and that the country would not compromise on its demands for legal protection for those programs. He told reporters outside the conference that India's decision was "final."
