Government Shutdown Does Nothing to Change Debt Limit Deadline

Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew again said that by Oct. 17 at the latest, the Treasury will exhaust the accounting maneuvers it has used since May to avoid hitting the debt ceiling, a forecast he said was unchanged by the government shutdown.
