House May Take Up 'Food-Stamp-Only' Farm Bill This Month

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., last week sent a memo to his fellow House Republicans that outlined a lengthy to-do list for the chamber over the next two months, including bills to keep federal agencies open, avoid defaulting on the government's obligations, make changes to the immigration system, deal with Syria and, perhaps, reform the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, or food stamp program).
