Congress Returns Facing Many Pressing Issues and a Short Calendar

Members of the 113th Congress return to Washington today from their six-week summer recess facing a number of pressing issues that need their attention, and in short order. As we have mentioned several times in the past, there are only nine legislative days between today and the expiration of both the 2013 fiscal year and the 2008 farm bill.
