House GOP Appropriators Identify Lesser of Two Evils

House Republicans have made no secret of their antipathy toward President Barack Obama and the U.S. tax code. This week, they quantified their dislike for each through the appropriations process by proposing to cut spending next year for the Internal Revenue Service by 24%, but imposing only a 6.9% cut on the Executive Office of the President.
