Groups Oppose Increase in Tolerance Levels for Glyphosate

A group of environmentalists and organic produce growers has decided to challenge a recent decision by the Environmental Protection Agency to increases the maximum residue tolerances for the herbicide glyphosate. In a letter to EPA, the coalition says it would be "improper" to raise the tolerances for glyphosate before EPA completes its ongoing registration review of the widely used herbicide, which is marketed by Monsanto under the name Roundup.
