Sen. Wyden Looking into Recent Increases in Gasoline Prices

There have been a number of reports recently that the workings of the Renewable Fuels Standard may have contributed to increases in the price of gasoline at the pump. Some petroleum refiners are considering whether to petition the Environmental Protection Agency, which administers the RFS, to reduce the amount of ethanol mandates for 2013 and 2014.
