ISTREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- Iowa Governor Terry Branstad Wednesday signed into law an extension of a tax credit for gasoline containing 15% ethanol.

The E15 credit pays 3cts per gallon for the 15% of ethanol blended into gasoline sold from Jan. 1 to May 31, and 10cts for June 1 to Sept. 15 sales.

The credit reverts back to 3cts from Sept. 16 to Dec. 31. The credit runs through 2020.

The bill was signed at the POET ethanol plant in Coon Rapids, Iowa.
