STREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- A petition seeking a rehearing of the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard by the U.S. Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit is not needed, according to a filing Thursday, Oct. 24, by the State of California.

The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers Association, American Trucking Association and several oil producer and user trade groups filed a petition for the rehearing earlier this month. The petition was for a rehearing of the court's Sept. 18 decision reversing an initial ruling finding the LCFS unconstitutional.
