Ethanol Stocks Down 5.2%

NEW YORK (DTN) -- Total ethanol supplies in the United States were drawn down again last week, plunging 800,000 bbl or 5.2% to 15.4 million bbl during the week ended June 28 as domestic output eased and no imports were received into the country, the Energy Information Administration reported Wednesday.

Total supplies at 15.4 million bbl are down 4.8 million bbl or 23.9% from a year ago.

Ethanol production at U.S. plants tumbled 22,000 bpd or 2.5% to 863,000 bpd last week, while up 5% from the level seen a year earlier, the data showed.
