Milk

Milk production increased notably over the past week. Milk production in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions improved significantly while at the same time bottling demand declined. This is moving greater volumes of milk to manufacturing. This is not expected to overwhelm the market, but should allow greater supply to be available to those who want it. Shipments out of Florida increased with 143 loads moving out of the state this week compared to 100 loads last week and 70 loads a year ago.
