Spring flush is beginning to pick up. Dairy farmers are looking aggressively for replacement heifers in order to increase cow numbers and take advantage of high milk prices. Bottling has slowed as sales have turned a bit sluggish. Fluid milk sales have been declining steadily for a long time and February is no exception. Overall sales during the month declined 2.1% from last year on a weight basis. Sales of conventional fluid milk products were down 3.0%.
