Varying milk production continues to dominate the information coming from various regions of the country. This sounds like a broken record, but yet it is the reality of the industry. There is a pent-up desire by dairy farmers to push milk production. Some of this is hindered by feed quality while some is hindered by weather. Replacements are tight and difficult to find, which could limit expansion of cattle numbers on the farm or the desire to expand the dairy operation.
