Milk futures were strong after spot trading took place. Steady cheese prices provided the support needed to trigger buying interest. The Global Dairy Trade auction did not fare well. Prices weakened in all categories except one. Rennet Casein increased 5.5% to $11,105 mt, or $5.04 per pound. Whole milk powder price declined 8.4% to $4,033 mt, or $1.83 per pound; skim milk powder dropped 9.6% to $4,126 mt, or $1.87 per pound; anhydrous milk fat price was down 11.3% to $4,067 mt, or $1.84 per pound; cheddar cheese price declined 3.5% to $4,438 mt, or $2.01 per pound; butter ...
