Weakness in cheese prices last week set the tone for the beginning of the week. Traders are cautious, unwilling to pick a market direction without confirmation of price direction. Increasing milk receipts are being balanced with production and orders. Bottling demand has been slowing, allowing for increasing supply at the manufacturing level. This may be part of the reason cheese prices are weakening. Traders anticipate increasing production will increase supply thereby reducing price.
