The all-milk price made a new record in March with price increasing 50 cents to $25.40 per cwt. This increase did not improve the milk/ratio as the ratio actually slipped 2 points to 2.58. However, income-over-feed costs improved 36 cents to a record $15.56. The average corn price increased 19 cents per bushel, reaching $4.54 per bushel. Soybean price increased 40 cents per bushel to $13.60. Alfalfa hay price increased $3 to $191 per ton.
