Milk production is mixed in the country. Areas where warmer weather prevails, milk production is increasing at a steady pace. Other areas of the country continue to struggle with below-normal temperatures and winter storms which have limited milk production growth. Bottled milk demand has increased in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast after residents recovered from recent storms. Store shelves need to be restocked with consumer buying patterns moving back to normal. Milk is available for all manufacturing and bottling requirements, yet milk prices remain strong.
